An exciting opportunity exists for a Vehicle Mechanic to join our Defence Maintenance Contract team based in Amberley, QLD.
As a Vehicle Mechanic, you will perform routine maintenance and repairs on a wide range of heavy military vehicles and equipment, from 4WDs and trucks through to tracked and armoured vehicles, infantry personnel carriers and tanks.

About the role
- Conduct maintenance tasks, including technical inspections and classifications.
- Repair or replace worn or faulty parts by removing assemblies such as engines, transmissions and differentials.
- Reassemble, test, clean and adjust repaired or replaced parts.
- Carry out minor body and trim repairs.
- Test and repair electrical systems, including lighting, ignition and electronic fuel injection.
- Inspect vehicles and issue roadworthiness certificates.
About you
- Hold a Certificate III in Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Technology or an equivalent qualification.
- Demonstrate experience inspecting, repairing and maintaining light, medium and heavy vehicles.
- Hold a current Australian Class C driver's licence.
You must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a minimum Australian Government Baseline Security Clearance.
