About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Residue Civil and Contract Services Superintendent to join our Pinjarra Refinery. In this senior leadership role, you will ensure civil work teams, contractor services and specialist resources are safely and effectively planned, aligned and delivered to support refinery operations.
Reporting to the Area Manager, you will provide strategic and tactical leadership across residue civil works, contractor resources and dam safety workflows. You will support safe, compliant and cost-effective outcomes while contributing to long-term civil and tailings master plans.
Working closely with operational leaders, procurement, maintenance and reliability, human resources, global impoundments, community relations and external stakeholders, you will help manage resources, budgets, contract performance and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Lead contractor management activities, including safety performance, contract execution, cost control and resource planning.
Oversee Residue Civil, Geotech and contractor team outputs to support day-to-day and strategic dam safety requirements.
Develop and manage annual budgets aligned to operational requirements at Pinjarra Refinery.
Drive continuous improvement by identifying efficiency opportunities, best practice and implementation plans.
Lead, coach and develop direct reports, building capability and supporting succession planning.
Support compliance with relevant dam safety, impoundment and wet season/storm event protocols.
Contribute to positive community and stakeholder relationships across the Peel region.

What You’ll Bring
A relevant tertiary qualification in Mechanical, Civil or Chemical Engineering, or another relevant discipline; postgraduate studies in leadership or people management will be highly regarded.
Extensive post-graduate experience in alumina, resources, manufacturing or heavy industry environments.
Strong leadership experience with the ability to empower, engage, coach and develop teams.
Demonstrated contractor management, budget management and labour planning capability.
Proven stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills, supported by strong business acumen.
