The Role
Ventia currently looking to engage a qualified and experienced Electrician to join our team at RAAF Learmonth in Exmouth, WA. In this role you will be responsible for electrical maintenance across a defence base including repairs, planned and reactive maintenance campaigns as well as high voltage switching programs.
This position is a full-time permanent role working Monday to Friday, 06:00am – 02:30pm (with paid overtime opportunities and some flexibility), 1x RDO (Rostered Day Off) per month. A company car (Tool of Trade vehicle) will also be provided for travel to and from the base each day.
To be considered for this position, you must be an Australian Citizen and willing to undergo a police check.

Key duties, but not limited to:
• Conduct maintenance tasks including inspection, classification, repairs & planned works
• Complete work orders and verify tasks in accordance with requirements
• Report & qualify detected equipment faults to supervisors
• Fault finding activities & reactive maintenance
• Develop & carry out HV switching programmes
• Small Installations, airfield lighting, lamp changes & strip outs
• Servicing a range of essential electrical assets including pumps, water infrastructure & generators
Skills & Experience:
• WA Driver’s Licence
• Trade Certificate III Electrotechnology Electrician
• WA Electrical Licence
• Hepatitis A & B vaccinations
• Experienced in low voltage, fault-finding and general maintenance
• High Voltage Switching Operations qualification – Highly regarded
• Previous exposure to high voltage installations – Highly regarded
