Venture Smart, a joint venture between Ventia and Johnson Controls, is seeking an ITS Engineer to support the delivery of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) maintenance and infrastructure projects for Main Roads Western Australia. This is an excellent opportunity to work on critical road network technology and contribute to the future of transport across WA.
About the Role
Reporting to the Design Manager, you will support the design, testing, commissioning, integration and optimisation of ITS assets across Western Australia. You will work closely with project, operations and client teams to deliver safe, compliant and innovative transport technology solutions.
- Support ITS project design, verification and delivery.
- Assist with testing, integration and commissioning activities.
- Monitor and analyse ITS asset performance.
- Troubleshoot communications, control systems and field devices.
- Contribute to tender submissions and technical proposals.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards and specifications.
- Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Support innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Monday to Friday, $90,000 - $100,000 Total Remuneration Package (Inclusive of Superannuation)
About You
- A relevant degree or qualification in Civil Engineering
- Knowledge of road authority standards and specifications.
- Minimum 2 to 3 years’ experience in project ITS engineering, construction delivery, and infrastructure projects.
- Experience working with Tier-1 contractors, alliances, government clients or major transport infrastructure projects is desirable.
- Strong understanding of construction delivery in live traffic environments, including interface management, access constraints, traffic management and staged works.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, ITPs, test plans, schedules, technical documents and construction work packs.
- Current driver’s licence
- Construction White Card is required
