About the Role
As a Crew Lead you will play a key role in maintaining the water and sewerage network through planned and reactive maintenance, minor renewals, replacements and extension works. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong civil or water industry experience who enjoys leading by example and delivering quality outcomes for the community.
Key responsibilities include –
- Lead and coordinate small field crews delivering water and wastewater maintenance activities ensuring compliance, safety and quality standards are met
- Assist with maintenance and repairs of pipes and network infrastructure
- Undertake service locating, potholing, trench excavation, pipe installations and reinstatement works
- Carry out inspections and maintenance of hydrants, valves, sewer maintenance holes and water network assets
- Support supervisors with planning and allocation of renewal and construction activities
- Operate plant, equipment and tools in accordance with licences and competencies
- Complete relevant documents, recording of data
Required Skills and Experience
Ideally you will hold a certificate III in Water Operations or Civil Construction (Pipelaying) and have experience within water infrastructure maintenance, rehabilitation or construction environments. You are a proactive and safety focused professional who can work with minimal supervision and confidently lead crews in the field. You have excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic and take pride in delivering outcomes.

- Desirable qualification in Confined space entry, working at heights, Asbestos removal ticket, dogman certification, plant tickets
- Ability to use mobile devices and digital reporting systems
