Ventia is seeking Food & Beverage Team Leaders to join our hospitality and catering team in Darwin, NT. This is an exciting leadership opportunity, offering you the chance to manage a diverse team and contribute to the success of Defence Base Services.
As the Food & Beverage Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional service delivery while supporting our dedicated team of attendants. You'll have the chance to help in leading operations across busy breakfast, lunch, and dinner services, as well as vibrant functions during peak periods.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate a team of Food & Beverage Attendants, ensuring high standards of customer service and performance.
- Oversee day-to-day operations, including the service of meals, beverages, and functions for Defence personnel.
- Meet and greet Defence personnel, ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere.
- Handle cash and EFTPOS transactions, ensuring accuracy and professionalism.
- Ensure the kitchen and dining areas are clean, hygienic, and well-organised at all times.
- Support inventory control for all kitchen supplies and equipment.
- Provide training and support to team members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Skills & Experience You Bring:
- Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role within the hospitality industry.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills – you inspire your team to go above and beyond.
- Previous hospitality and catering experience (preferred, but not essential).
- Basic computer skills and experience with online rostering systems.
- A driver’s license and own transport
Must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance. As a result of this requirement the applicant must be an Australian Citizen and be willing to undertake and maintain a satisfactory Australian Federal Police Check
