Ventia is seeking a proactive Safety, Health, Environment & Quality (SHEQ) Advisor who’s eager to develop their skills and play a key role in strengthening safety across a major government contract across Western Sydney.

What you’ll do:
You’ll deliver on all SHEQ requirements for the program and help embed a strong safety culture across field operations. Your role will include:
- Conducting field based incident investigations across Western Sydney
- Supporting injury management and return‑to‑work processes
- Monitoring compliance with safety procedures, including PPE use, chemical handling and safe work practices
- Implementing Safety Management Plans and ensuring adherence to legislation, standards and company frameworks
- Maintaining risk assessments, safety records and documentation
- Delivering toolbox talks, inductions and safety‑related training

We’re open to candidates who are developing in their safety career, as long as you have some basic safety knowledge, a great attitude, and willingness to learn, we want to hear from you!
- Demonstrated experience in workplace health & safety
- ICAM exposure (highly preferred) – or willingness to be trained
- A minimum Cert III in WHS and commitment to working toward Cert IV
- Strong people engagement skills and the ability to build trust with field teams
- A genuine interest in safety, risk reduction and continuous improvement
