Ventia has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Supervisor with a Fitter Armourer background to oversee critical Defence maintenance activities in Edinburgh, SA.
Reporting to the Site Manager, you'll lead day-to-day service delivery, ensuring safety, compliance, and quality across trade and admin teams. You'll support Defence maintenance operations while fostering a high-performing, positive team culture

Responsibilities:
- Providing supervision, operational oversight and management support to the Site Manager.
- Liaise with Schedulers and Maintenance Planners to ensure compliance with overall maintenance plans
- Allocate maintenance tasks to appropriately qualified personnel.
- Account for labour, repair parts and maintenance consumables and other Commonwealth items and equipment during daily interactions with warehouse and procurement teams.
- Ensure business processes are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
- Mentor technical and support staff and provide development and training support.
- Provide management advice and direction to Ventia personnel relating to procedures and compliance.
- Strong commitment to fostering a positive team culture through leadership, collaboration, and accountability.
About you:
- Proven experience leading maintenance teams and managing technical activities.
- Relevant trade qualification(e.g. Cert III in Mechanical Engineering - Fitter/ Armourer).
- Strong communication, customer service, and leadership skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to efficiently manage competing priorities and stakeholders at various levels of seniority (including military personnel).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and SAP system(desirable).
- Tertiary qualification in planning/scheduling (desirable).
- Current Australian driver’s licence (HR/HC desirable).
- Must be an Australian Citizen and eligible to obtain a Defence Baseline Security Clearance.
