Based in Fishermans Bend, we are on the lookout for our next Café Supervisor to join our team at Ventia on a Full-time permanent basis.

About the role
As a Café Supervisor you will be responsible for coordinating front-of-house operations within Defence mess facilities, ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and service standards.
Working closely with supervisors and kitchen teams where you’ll support efficient operations, addresses customer queries, and contributing to a positive dining experience to Defence personnel.
Responsibilities (not limited to):
- Support and participate in the implementation and management Ventia’s Food Safety Program.
- Opening procedure and count cash for dining room cash float
- Responsible for displays allergen information and menu prominently
- Manage the cleaning, sanitization, and upkeep of equipment, furniture, and premises, ensuring prompt reporting of all necessary repairs and maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with RCE (Risk Control Excellence) standards and complete all required HACCP paperwork
- Conduct training sessions for staff, ensuring completion of Mandatory Safe Work Instructions (SWI)
- Comply with Ventia’s SHEQ management systems, including statutory obligations.
About you
- Have prior Team leading experience in food & beverage services
- Hold HACCP Certification
- Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification
- 2+ years’ experience cafe environments
- Enthusiasm and commitment to high standards of customer service.
- Professional and aligned with Ventia’s values
- Be an Australian Citizen (for security clearance)
Must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance. As a result of this requirement the applicant must be an Australian Citizen and be willing to undertake and maintain a satisfactory Australian Federal Police Check
