About the role
As the Project Officer, you’re the person who’s supporting projects to upgrade and replace water and wastewater assets in the region.
You will support capital and non-capital projects to create and maintain assets that satisfy the operational objectives of stakeholders, ensuring their compliance is on time, to budget, and within technical and quality standards. You will also be key in procurement administration, and you will have your own portfolio of equipment purchase projects to manage. You will be instrumental in project reporting and analysis, giving you the opportunity to learn about project management from your peers and expand your skillset by managing multi-disciplined projects.
You will work in a team of helpful and friendly colleagues who live the Water Corporation value of Working as one. Your manager will be supportive of you and help guide you through your Water Corporation journey.
We have one permanent opportunity available, with the potential for additional fixed term or part-time opportunities. This role can be based in any of our regional depots including Geraldton, Albany or Bunbury and others you choose!

Your skills and experience
Ideally, we are looking for someone with experience providing support to minor projects with an operational background. This is an opportunity to expand on those skills with potential to develop into a project coordinator or manager in the future
You’ll also have:
- Strong administration experience.
- Strong communication and attention to detail
- Experience supporting team members and stakeholders from remote locations.
- Experience with SAP desirable
