We’re seeking an experienced Site Construction Supervisor to support the safe and efficient delivery of transmission line construction and maintenance works. You’ll lead day to day site operations, coordinate crews and subcontractors, and ensure high standards of safety, quality and compliance are upheld across all project activities.
This is a hands on, field based role and ideally, you’ll be based in Newcastle or happy to frequently travel to Newcastle. This role operates on a project-based roster, typically 19 days on / 9 days off or 11 days on / 3 days off. Rosters may vary depending on client and project requirements (including arrangements such as 21/7 or similar), so flexibility is essential.
The position involves regular interstate and regional travel across various project locations. We’re seeking someone who is adaptable and enjoys working in different environments.

What you’ll be doing
You’ll take ownership of on site delivery activities, including:
- Coordinate and supervise daily construction activities to meet program, safety and quality requirements.
- Work closely with the Project Manager to plan and deliver transmission line construction and maintenance works.
- Enforce safety protocols, SWMS, work methods and compliance requirements on site.
- Monitor workmanship and ensure construction quality aligns with project specifications.
- Coordinate labour, equipment, materials and subcontractors to maintain efficient workflow and timelines.
- Maintain accurate daily documentation and promptly escalate issues to support timely resolution.
What you’ll bring
- Certificate III in ESI - Distribution Overhead.
- Current electrical licence (any state).
- Strong background in field based construction supervision.
- Experience in transmission, distribution, utilities, or large scale remote construction.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to direct crews effectively.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality and compliance.
