What the role will involve
You’re seen as the protector. The person at the forefront of shielding Water Corporation from advanced persistent threats and malicious attacks, usually associated with hacktivists and organised criminal groups.
Your days are interesting, varied and challenging. With a strategic view, you’ll build the controls that protect a critical infrastructure organisation from people trying to gain unauthorised access to networks, applications, IT and OT technology using contemporary identity access management practices.
You’ll support the Manager of Cyber Security Engineering with everyday security configuration design and validation. Your experience will help you research, design and implement appropriate systems and products that align with the latest cyber security thinking and standards.
Using your knowledge and experience in protective controls and threat landscape, you’ll provide guidance on how to diminish these vulnerabilities and risks.
To keep yourself fresh and in-the-know, you’ll consistently provide your guidance on changes, designs and design reviews of OT and IT infrastructure, applications and IT/OT communications.
Your latest thinking behind cyber security practices will ensure you can respond to incidents by analysing, containing and closing out events, so our systems aren’t compromised. You’ll also form an important part of our cyber security maturity program, ensuring the organisation continually uplifts its ability to deal with the everchanging complexity of threats.
What the role will offer
Water Corporation’s cyber plan is already under way, which means you won’t be scratching your head and looking for things to do. The days of mothballing projects and providing justification to a business are long gone.
There’s a stack of interesting projects to deliver, which will evolve and uplift the organisation’s capability and maturity to deal with potential threats and attacks. It’ll also give you plenty of scope to learn and sharpen your skills.
You’ll be joining a supportive and diverse team, who’ll have your back from day one.
At Water Corporation we offer flexible working, providing you an opportunity to work a mix of both home and at our office in Leederville, creating a better balance for you.
Other benefits include but are not limited to social clubs, 17.5% extra pay when taking annual leave, wellness leave, flexible working arrangements, on-site gyms, salary packaging, professional development and learning programs.
What you’ll bring to the role
There are a few things that we’ll look for on your CV. Ideally, you’ll have a tertiary qualification or a degree in an ICT related field.
You’ll have considerable experience managing, configuring and implementing cyber security controls.
On top of this, you’ll also have considerable exposure to business planning, system analysis and troubleshooting. Throw in your experience with planning, design, acquisition or operational delivery of cyber security infrastructure, and you’re good to go.
Apply: If you are interested in the above opportunity, please submit a covering letter and resume that best demonstrates your ability to meet the requirements of the role.
As part of the recruitment process you may be required to complete pre-employment screening which may include a medical, qualification check, police clearance and Australian working rights check.
