About the role
We are seeking an experienced Project Leader – Regional Projects to join our Operations Project Delivery team. Reporting to the Team Leader – Regional Projects, you will lead the delivery of complex capital and non-capital infrastructure projects that support the safe and reliable operation of Water Corporation assets across regional Western Australia.
Based at our Leederville office, this role requires regular and significant travel throughout the all regions (ie North West, Mid West, South West, Great Southern and Goldfields), working closely with operations teams, contractors, consultants, stakeholders and project delivery partners. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of important regional projects while building strong relationships across the business and the communities we serve.

What you can expect with this role
In this role, you will lead the planning, scoping, design and delivery of complex regional infrastructure projects, ensuring outcomes are achieved safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards. You will manage all aspects of project delivery, including coordinating contractors, consultants and project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
The role is responsible for overseeing tendering, procurement and contract administration activities, while effectively managing project risks, safety performance and compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements. Success in this position will require building and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders, operational teams and external service providers to support the successful delivery of projects and business objectives.
Your skills and experience
The successful candidate will hold a tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management or a related discipline, or possess equivalent demonstrated experience in infrastructure project delivery. Considerable experience managing engineering, construction or asset-based projects from initiation through to completion is essential, together with a strong understanding of tendering processes, contract management and contractor supervision.
This role requires proven capability in managing project budgets, schedules, risks and stakeholder expectations while delivering outcomes in complex operational environments. Well-developed communication, negotiation and influencing skills are critical, along with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders. A strong commitment to safety, sound judgement, problem-solving capability and behaviours that support a collaborative, customer-focused and high-performing team culture will also be highly regarded.
