About the Role
Due to our continued success partnering with the Australian Defence Force, Ventia have an opportunity for an Inventory Controller on our Defence Clothing Services contract (DCS).
The new contract will see Ventia partner with experienced Australian organisations to deliver clothing design and supply, warehousing, distribution, and clothing store services.
The inventory Controller will be located in Laverton and this role is essential in ensuring the efficient and compliant management of clothing inventory across the national network, supporting operational excellence and enhancing Defence capability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage inventory transactions and distribution across the Clothing network.
- Monitor stock movement using Defence systems such as CVS, MILIS, and SAP.
- Respond to inventory trends and coordinate stock allocation to meet customer needs.
- Engage with Clothing stores and support Fleet Managers in issue resolution.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure contractual compliance.
- Promote a customer-focused culture and contribute to continuous improvement.
What You’ll Bring
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a logistics or supply chain environment.
- Experience within the Defence sector (preferred).
- Proficiency in ERP systems, in defence desirable
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively within a small team.
- Australian Citizenship (required for Defence Security Clearance eligibility).
Other Conditions
- Must hold or be eligible for Defence Security Clearance (Baseline, NV1, NV2, or PV).
- Must pass an Australian Federal Police check and maintain a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC).
