Ventia is seeking passionate and skilled Chefs, to join our team at the Albury Wodonga Military Site! In this fast-paced and rewarding environment, you’ll prepare fresh, high-quality meals for the Australian Defence community across breakfast, lunch, and dinner messes. What’s in it for you?
- Casual Opportunities available | $37.91 + $3 allowance per hour (inclusive of casual loading)
- Penalty rates for shifts after 6 pm & Rotating rosters weekends, and public holidays
- Join Ventia’s dedicated team supporting Defence personnel at our Bandiana Military Site!
- Sharpen your culinary skills under the guidance of a highly experienced Sous & Head Chef
- Gain hands-on experience in a high-volume kitchen environment whilst developing & mastering new recipes
- Uniform/PPE provided
What you’ll do:
- Prepare and serve meals for Defence personnel
- Help with catering for events and functions
- Work closely with our skilled Head Chef and develop your skills!
- Keep the kitchen clean and safe
- Work with a great team and support junior staff
- Follow food safety standards
About you
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or higher)
- HACCP Level 2 certification
- 3+ years’ experience in large commercial kitchen environments
- Flexible and adaptive in complex, multi-stakeholder settings
- Strong planning and organisational abilities
- Professional, enthusiastic, and aligned with Ventia’s values
- Be an Australian Citizen (for security clearance)
