About the role
Ventia is seeking an experienced Coach Drivers to join our Transport Services team on a casual basis. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a vital support function in a dynamic Defence environment
Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to)
- Safely drive Defence personnel to and from appointments locally and in Melbourne
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance including cleaning, inspections, basic fault finding, minor repairs, and tyre/wheel changes
- Conduct non-technical inspections on fleet vehicles to ensure operational readiness
- Carry out mail duties including sorting, distribution, and delivery between bases
- Complete basic paperwork and filing tasks related to transport operations
About you
- 1+ years’ experience as a Coach Driver
- A valid Australian driver's license - must be LR, MR, HR or HC
- Experience in operating a range of vehicles, preferably in a similar environment
- Ability to perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on vehicles
- Skilled in route planning and navigation, including the use of GPS and maps
- You work safely, follow procedures, look out for your team, and report incidents or hazards without delay
Must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance. As a result of this requirement the applicant must be an Australian Citizen and be willing to undertake and maintain a satisfactory Australian Federal Police Check.
