Ventia is seeking two Project Leads to support the delivery of Telepower construction projects and programs within our Telecommunications business.
You will be responsible for leading projects from initiation through to completion, ensuring delivery across safety, quality, time, and budget. These roles requires strong collaboration with internal teams, subcontractors, and key client stakeholders.

About the roles:
As a Project Lead, you will take ownership of end-to-end project delivery across multiple sites within a fast-paced telecommunications environment. Furthermore, you’ll
- Manage end‑to‑end project planning, scheduling, and delivery in collaboration with the Telepower PMO
- Oversee project performance, including tracking, reporting, budget forecasting, and cost control
- Coordinate subcontractors, materials, logistics, and site access across multiple projects
- Maintain stakeholder relationships, ensuring client confidence and delivery of contract KPIs
- Ensure compliance with WHS, quality, and Ventia standards, including supervision of high-risk activities and critical control checks
- Conduct site audits, inspections, and quality assurance checks, supporting pre-delivery and ongoing project performance
About you:
Role 1: Project Lead – Electrical / Telepower Focus
You are an experienced Project Lead with a strong electrical background, delivering Telepower or infrastructure projects in complex environments.
- 5+ years’ experience leading teams in telco, electrical, or data centre environments
- Experience with Telepower, UPS, BESS or similar systems, with strong electrical safety knowledge
- Proven project delivery experience, including managing teams, stakeholders, and site activities
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and a proactive, safety-first mindset
- Ability to work independently and travel regionally as required
Required:
- Project Management qualification (or equivalent experience)
- NSW Electrical Licence, White Card, Driver’s Licence
- Highly regarded: Open Cabling, First Aid/CPR, LVR, Working at Heights, High Risk licences, Telco inductions
Role 2: Project Lead – Program Delivery Focus
You are a capable Project Lead with experience delivering telecommunications programs across multi-site environments.
- Experience leading teams in telco or data centre environments
- Strong project management capability, managing multiple stakeholders and deliverables
- Exposure to lifecycle replacement (batteries) and/or CSF/SMR programs
- Solid understanding of electrical environments and safety practices
- Strong communication skills with a proactive, adaptable approach
- Willingness to undertake Project Management certification
Required:
- White Card and Driver’s Licence
- Highly regarded: Open Cabling, First Aid/CPR, LVR, Working at Heights, High Risk licences, Telco inductions
