About the Role
You will work within established systems and processes supporting SHEQ activities ensuring operational delivery including the implementation and maintenance of SHEQ Management Systems in line with contractual and legislative requirements. Duties include –
- Assist and lead internal and support external audits, inspections and assurance activities
- Participate in incident investigations and contribute to learning and improvement actions
- Support hazard identification, risk assessments and development of control measures
- Provide advise to operational teams, supervisors and contractors
- Deliver SHEQ reporting (including tracking trends, actions and performance outcomes)
- Participate and deliver of toolbox meetings, site meetings and SHEQ forums
- Contribute to continuous improvements initiatives
Required Skills and Experience
You must be able to demonstrate experience in a similar position, ideally within construction / maintenance / defence / project / high risk environments with an aptitude for delivering outcomes.
- Experience and confident working with various stakeholders
- Strong relationship building skills and ability to engage with contractors, regulators and clients
- A practical, solutions-focused mindset with attention to detail
- Curiosity, resilience and commitment to continuous self-development and learning
- Tertiary qualification in WHS
- ICAM incident investigation training
- Knowledge of ISO 45001, 14001 and 9001
