Join our Confluence Water Asset Integration Team as an Asset Planner in a permanent, full-time position based in our Chatswood office, with occasional field travel.
About the Role
In this role, you will work closely with the Facilities Maintenance Manager to support the efficient planning, scheduling, and coordination of maintenance and project activities across our water and wastewater assets, delivered in partnership with Sydney Water. You will play a key role in supporting field teams by ensuring work is effectively planned, prioritised, and resourced for safe and efficient execution. You will also contribute to business improvement initiatives and support the effective use and optimisation of CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management Systems).
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule maintenance and capital works across water and wastewater assets
- Coordinate resources, contractors, and stakeholders to support delivery of works
- Support field teams by ensuring work is accurately planned, resourced, and prioritised to enable efficient execution
- Monitor work progress and ensure alignment with operational priorities and service levels
- Maintain accurate asset and maintenance records within CMMS and other systems
- Support the implementation, optimisation, and ongoing use of CMMS technology
- Contribute to business improvement initiatives, including the development and optimisation of workflow processes, to enhance efficiency and asset performance
- Monitor, track, and manage KPIs and performance metrics (e.g. schedule compliance, backlog, data quality, and maintenance efficiency) to drive continuous improvement
- Analyse maintenance data and reporting to support informed decision-making
- Support asset appraisal activities to inform long-term renewal and capital planning strategies
- Collaborate with internal teams and Sydney Water to ensure seamless delivery
- Assist with field inspections and site visits as required
About You
- Experience in asset planning, maintenance scheduling, or infrastructure operations
- Background in water, utilities, facilities, or related industries is desirable
- Experience with CMMS or asset management systems (SAP and/or Maximo experience an advantage)
- Strong organisational and coordination skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively
- Continuous improvement mindset with an interest in optimisation
- Willingness to travel occasionally
