About the Role
Ventia is on the hunt for a customer-focused and technically capable Network Operations Officer to join our team of legends in Cremorne. As the first point of contact within the Ventia Operations Centre (VOC), you will play a critical role in monitoring, supporting, and maintaining communication networks and infrastructure across a range of technologies, including cellular, optical, satellite, radio, transmission, and embedded systems. This role is responsible for incident management, fault identification and resolution, service request handling, and customer communications. You will work closely with internal technical teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure service disruptions are resolved efficiently while delivering an outstanding customer experience.
**Ability to work a rotating 24/7 shift roster, including nights, weekends, and public holidays, in a fast-paced operations environment**
Key Responsibilities
Monitor network systems and services to identify faults and service disruptions
Act as the primary point of contact for incident management and service requests
Log, track, and manage incidents using IT Service Management (ITSM) tools
Perform first-level troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues
Escalate unresolved incidents to Level 2 support or specialist teams within agreed service levels
Drive incidents through to resolution while maintaining regular stakeholder communication
Support major incident activities and restoration efforts
About You
You are a proactive and resilient operations professional with a strong customer service mindset and a passion for technology. You enjoy problem-solving, thrive in fast-paced operational environments, and can effectively manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
Experience providing technical support within a helpdesk, service desk, network operations centre, or similar environment
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capability
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage incidents, prioritise workloads, and coordinate with multiple stakeholders
Strong customer service focus with the ability to build positive working relationships
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
