The VIMC contract involves the operation, maintenance and performance management of critical Intelligent Transport Systems, traffic signal assets, communications networks, electrical infrastructure and associated roadside technology across live traffic environments.
The maintenance workforce plays a critical role in keeping the road network safe, reliable and operational for the travelling public. Works are performed across metropolitan and regional Victoria and include planned maintenance, fault response, emergency works, inspections, repairs, testing and restoration of traffic signals and ITS assets.
About the role
The Data and Compliance Lead is responsible for managing contract reporting, compliance tracking, performance evidence and data governance across the ITS maintenance contract. Working closely with operational, commercial, planning and client-facing teams, you will ensure critical data is accurate, auditable and aligned with contractual requirements. This role is instrumental in supporting contract performance through robust reporting, compliance visibility and continuous improvement of data governance processes.
Role responsibilities
- Manage the preparation and submission of contract, compliance and performance reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Monitor compliance with contractual obligations, KPIs, maintenance requirements and reporting deadlines.
- Develop and maintain reporting dashboards, compliance registers, evidence trackers and reporting calendars.
- Implement data validation and governance processes to improve the accuracy and integrity of operational and asset data.
- Analyse performance trends, compliance risks and reporting exceptions, providing insights to support decision making.
- Coordinate reporting inputs across operations, planning, asset management, commercial and SHEQ teams.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across reporting systems, data quality and compliance processes.
About you
- Experience in reporting, compliance, data management, contract administration or performance reporting roles.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and a passion for data integrity and governance.
- Advanced capability using reporting and management tools such as Excel, Power BI, Maximo or similar platforms.
- Demonstrated experience monitoring KPIs, compliance requirements and audit evidence within a complex operational environment.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple teams and functions.
- Experience within infrastructure, maintenance, transport, utilities or government contract environments will be highly regarded.
- Relevant qualifications in Business, Data Analytics, Asset Management, Engineering, Compliance, Information Systems or a related discipline are desirable.
