Ventia is seeking an experienced and customer-focused Site Facilities Manager to support the delivery of facilities management services across our South East Queensland Schools portfolio.
This is an exciting opportunity for a facilities management professional who enjoys working in a dynamic environment, managing subcontractors, building strong stakeholder relationships, and ensuring educational facilities remain safe, compliant, and operating at their best.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring maintenance activities, compliance requirements and service delivery standards are achieved across your allocated sites while providing outstanding support to school communities.
About the Role
As Site Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day facilities management activities across a portfolio of school sites. You will act as the key point of contact for stakeholders while coordinating subcontractors, managing maintenance programs, ensuring compliance obligations are met, and driving contract performance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing subcontractor performance, compliance, safety and service delivery outcomes.
- Coordinating maintenance and asset management activities in line with contractual requirements and KPIs.
- Conducting quality, safety and compliance audits across allocated sites.
- Supporting the development and delivery of planned and preventative maintenance programs.
- Building strong relationships with school representatives, subcontractors and key stakeholders.
- Managing contractor onboarding, site inductions and compliance requirements.
- Monitoring budgets, lifecycle plans and contract performance outcomes.
- Ensuring all works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
- Supporting reporting requirements and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participating in an on-call roster as required.
About You
You are a proactive facilities management professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys balancing operational delivery with stakeholder engagement.
You will bring:
- Experience in facilities management, asset maintenance, building services or maintenance engineering.
- Strong knowledge of property maintenance, contractor management and service delivery.
- A sound understanding of WHS legislation, compliance requirements and facilities management systems.
- Experience managing multiple stakeholders and subcontractor relationships.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Strong administrative, reporting and computer skills.
- The ability to work autonomously while contributing to a collaborative team culture.
- A customer-first mindset with a focus on quality outcomes and continuous improvement.
Essential Requirements
- Valid Blue Card (Working with Children) or ability to obtain.
- Current Driver's Licence.
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety practices.
- Ability to participate in an on-call roster.
