About the role
- Delivering technical training, refresher sessions, and competency development programs on distribution network standards, procedures, and work practices.
- Inducting new employees, subcontractors, and field personnel into distribution network requirements and project-specific expectations.
- Reviewing client-issued updates, standards, manuals, technical instructions, and operational communications, then translating these into practical guidance for field teams.
- Acting as the project's primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) for overhead and underground distribution network activities.
- Conducting field-based technical audits, observations, and compliance inspections to verify adherence to network standards and approved work methods.
- Identifying technical risks, trends, and improvement opportunities through assurance activities and operational feedback.
- Investigating audit findings and site learnings to determine root causes and required corrective actions.
- Leading the continuous improvement of training materials, Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS), work procedures, work instructions, and technical guidance documentation.
- Providing technical support and coaching to supervisors, delivery managers, and field crews to promote consistent application of network requirements.
About you
- Extensive experience and understanding of the Power Distribution Network.
- Cert 4 Training and Assessing or Diploma of Quality Auditing (desirable)
- Qualification in Powerline Distribution, Electrical Supply Industry (ESI), Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Proficiency in general systems, including SHEQ systems, ERP and other Work Management System
- Work diligently and build relationships with clients and other team members.
