Join Ventia’s high performing team delivering one of Australia’s most significant infrastructure upgrades. As a Site Engineer, you’ll play a key role on the NBN NSW N2P project, part of a national fibre upgrade enhancing connectivity for communities across the country.

This hybrid role is based in NSW, with time split between work from home and our North Sydney and Parramatta offices. You must reside in NSW or be willing to relocate as this role cannot be offered to be fully remote working.

About the role:

As a Site Engineer, you’ll support the Project Engineer and broader team by managing work packages and ensuring delivery meets scope, quality, and budget expectations.

Key responsibilities include:

Planning and scheduling construction activities with Site Supervisors
Managing BOQ/BOM and work allocations within Work Management Systems
Coordinating traffic management and council approvals
Overseeing defect closure and site restoration
Supporting procurement and financial reconciliation
Participating in safety inspections and toolbox talks
Driving continuous improvement through lessons learnt workshops

Are you our next Site Engineer?

Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering (preferred)
Demonstrate experience in delivering end-to-end projects, from design through to construction completion
Relevant experience in telecommunications or civil construction (Telco experience; Optus, Telstra, NBN N2P highly regarded)
Demonstrate foundational knowledge of cost management and financial principles relevant to project delivery
Exposure to field operations and stakeholder management
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel (Lookup functions, Pivot Tables, data queries, and analytical techniques for interpreting complex datasets), and MS Project
