About the role
The Team Lead – Energy Efficiency provides strategic leadership, direction and accountability for energy efficiency performance, analysis and monitoring across Water Corporation. You will lead a team responsible for delivering high‑quality insights on performance, risk and compliance, ensuring our asset investment decisions are well‑informed and aligned with corporate goals and legislative obligations.
A core part of your leadership impact will come from your ability to engage, influence and collaborate with internal stakeholders. Your guidance will help shape organisational priorities, identify meaningful efficiency opportunities, and strengthen long‑term energy performance across the business.

What you can expect with this role
- Providing strategic leadership in investigating, monitoring and analysing performance across all service chains.
- Guide your team in proactive analysis, forecasting and performance monitoring to uncover opportunities that drive asset performance and investment decisions.
- Oversee accurate, timely and high‑quality reporting for energy efficiency agreements, opportunities and obligations.
- Influence organisational plans and priorities by integrating targeted energy efficiency initiatives into broader performance objectives.
- Model strong leadership behaviours, demonstrating accountability, sound decision‑making, and a commitment to safety, customer service and continuous improvement.
- Lead compliance assurance, ensuring alignment with legislation, regulatory requirements, corporate policies and Work Health and Safety standards.
Your skills and experience
For this role, we are looking for great talent with:
- You are an experienced and confident leader who brings both technical insight and strong relationship‑building skills. You thrive in guiding teams, influencing stakeholders and driving performance in complex operational environments.
- Degree‑qualified in a relevant discipline and/or brings substantial experience in asset performance, risk management and compliance.
- Leadership experience with a track record of guiding teams, building capability and driving performance outcomes.
- Strong analytical capability, particularly in asset, scheme or network performance and risk.
- Demonstrated experience in asset management and energy efficiency performance analysis, monitoring and reporting.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship‑management skills, with the ability to influence across diverse teams.
- Sound technical understanding of energy efficiency monitoring, performance measurement and improvement practices.
- Desirable: Experience within the water industry, knowledge of relevant legislation, and an understanding of Scope 1, 2 and 3 carbon emissions frameworks.
