About the role
As the Team Lead – Energy Efficiency, you will provide strategic leadership and oversight of energy efficiency initiatives across the organisation. You will be responsible for driving the investigation, analysis, monitoring, and management of energy performance to support business objectives, meet strategic asset management goals, and ensure compliance with legislative requirements.
In this role, you will build and maintain trusted relationships across the business, champion energy efficiency, and lead a team focused on delivering measurable improvements. You will be accountable for the performance, risk management, and compliance reporting related to energy efficiency, ensuring insights and data are translated into actionable strategies.

What you can expect with this role
- Lead strategic energy efficiency initiatives – Oversee the investigation, monitoring, and analysis of energy performance across all service chains to inform asset and network reporting and guide investment decisions.
- Drive proactive performance insights – Lead forecasting and analytical activities to identify opportunities for improvement and deliver measurable energy efficiency outcomes.
- Champion statewide impact – Influence and drive energy efficiency improvement programs across the organisation, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Deliver on business priorities – Contribute to the achievement of corporate objectives through targeted energy efficiency activities.
- Ensure compliance and quality – Maintain adherence to legislation, regulatory requirements, corporate policies, and asset management standards.
- Own reporting excellence – Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of all energy efficiency agreements and opportunity reporting.
Your skills and experience
For this role, we are looking for great talent with:
A relevant degree and/or extensive experience in managing complex asset, performance, and regulatory obligations.
Proven expertise in data analytics, performance monitoring, and risk analysis across asset, scheme, or network environments.
Comprehensive knowledge of asset management principles and energy efficiency performance, including risk and compliance reporting.
A track record of success working with multidisciplinary teams and engaging effectively with external stakeholders.
A commitment to fostering a constructive, high-performance culture through your leadership and values-driven approach.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
Strong relationship-building capabilities and the ability to leverage networks to gain broad support for initiatives.
