Senior Facility Asset Manager – Ventia (AGFMA Contract)

Ventia is seeking an experienced Senior Facility Asset Manager (SFAM) to join our dynamic team and lead maintenance delivery and minor projects within the Education portfolio, while guiding and empowering a team of Facility Asset Managers under your leadership.
The Across Government Facilities Management Arrangement (AGFMA) provides facilities management services for more than 5,000 Government-owned sites across 48 agencies in South Australia. Ventia partners with local small and medium businesses to deliver these services 7 days a week, 365 days a year, ensuring communities have access to safe, reliable, and well maintained facilities.
About the Role
This role offers the opportunity to combine strategic oversight with hands-on operational excellence, delivering high-quality outcomes for one of South Australia’s most vital service sectors.
As a Senior Facility Asset Manager, you will:
- Leadership - Lead and mentor a ‘pod’ team of Facility Asset Managers (FAMs) across selected areas of South Australia
- Stakeholder Engagement - Build strong relationships with government agencies, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Maintenance Oversight – Oversee planned and breakdown maintenance and manage minor projects.
- Operational Excellence – strive towards operational excellence through business improvement in collaboration with other teams.
- Project Delivery - Manage budgets, KPIs, and ensure timely, high-quality service delivery.
This role will require travel for the purpose of site management, stakeholder engagement and team leadership.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven leadership experience in facilities management or related fields.
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Trade qualifications or business-related qualifications (Property, FM, CM, PM) desirable.
- Current driver’s licence, Working with Children Check, and National Police Check.
