The AI Governance Lead will play a critical role in driving AI Governance across HCF, collaborating with stakeholders and ensuring appropriate training is conducted. The role requires the monitoring of AI risks, conducting risk assessments and ensuring governance compliance. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation and embedment of AI Governance.
- Ensure compliance with the Data and AI Governance framework, policies, standards, guidelines and procedure, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Lead stakeholder engagement across senior executives and wider HCF staff for AI governance initiatives and activities.
- Lead the development and delivery of AI Governance training materials and awareness campaigns.
- Lead and conduct AI risk assessments, identifying control weaknesses or gaps and recommending mitigations.
- Assist in the ongoing monitoring and execution of the Data & AI Governance Strategy.
- Plan and implement the ongoing process improvements and guardrails for AI to ensure appropriate governance and agility in assessing risk.
- Support and drive Data & AI uplift initiatives, such as implementing new tools or processes, ensuring governance maturity improvements.
- Maintain the AI Asset Register, track and monitor AI risk across initiatives.
- Participate in risk-based data and AI quality monitoring and compliance reporting, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Serve as a point of contact for business teams, advising on data and AI risks and controls.
- Support risk and data quality monitoring activities, including data quality and risk tracking and AI system risk oversight.
- Monitor and report on data quality, compliance, and AI governance risks, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Conduct governance assessments and assist in data issue resolution.
- Perform work in a manner that complies with relevant regulatory standards including Work Health & Safety (WHS) legislation.
- Training and supporting stakeholders across the HCF business in Data and AI Governance
Essentials
- Three (3) or more years of experience in a Data or AI related discipline OR an IT Risk & Compliance role.
- Good understanding of governance and risk management.
- Proficient in Microsoft tools like SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills - can ask effective questions and collect facts from multiple sources in order to solve problems.
- Must possess a positive attitude and be an excellent team player.
- Experience in a role balanced between business stakeholders and a central technology service organisation.
- Strong understanding of information security controls and ISMS standards such as SOC 2, ISO 27001/2, COBIT, CRISC.
- Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders across functional and technical skill sets.
- Education Level: Graduate Degree (e.g. BIT, BSc) or equivalent work experience in Information Technology or an equivalent engineering discipline.
- Certifications, such as CISSP, CRISC, CISA, CIPP, CISM, aren’t a prerequisite however are well regarded.
- Must be able to demonstrate strong alignment to HCF Values
- Ability to instil confidence in the business and demonstrate the business value of IT.
- Ability to manage senior stakeholders and build effective relationships across technology & business.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
