About the Role
The Training & Development Manager will lead and coordinate the development of the electrical distribution and transmission (emerging and existing) workforce. This includes developing strategies to increase the number of qualified talent and ensuring all state‑specific compliance requirements are fully met.
What you will do
- Develop and implement and oversee training programs to enhance skills and knowledge across apprentices and existing workforce
- Collaborate, create and initiate strategies with recruitment teams, industry partners and educational institutions for emerging workforce
- Create and maintain state-based, ‘skills matrices’ for Cert 3 qualified linesperson requirements.
- Identify, source and apply for government grants and manage grant‑funded projects and reporting.
Required Skills & Experience
- Ability to develop and maintain stakeholder relationships
- Strong understanding of the electrical distribution and transmission sector.
- Knowledge of state-specific certification requirements for electrical linespersons in Australia
- Proven experience in workforce development, training coordination, or a similar role within the electrical distribution industry.
- Ability to develop and implement effective training programs and workforce strategies.
