About the Role
This is a senior leadership role focused on outcomes, communication and problem solving across a portfolio of complex built environment programs.
oversees multiple client programs, ensuring they are delivered to agreed quality, cost and schedule targets. You will -
- Provide strategic program oversight, not day-to-day project delivery
- Maintain and grow senior client relationships, chair meetings and present program updates
- Identify and manage program-wide risks, acting as the escalation point
- Oversee governance, compliance, reporting and program documentation
- Guide and mentor Program Managers and Coordinators
- Drive consistency, standardisation and continual improvement across the PM function
- Support business development, including proposals and client engagement
- Review and challenge cost plans, schedules and dashboards prepared by delivery teams
You must be an Australian Citizen (baseline security clearance required) and have a willingness to travel.
Essential experience
- Solid experience in program or project management within property, construction, infrastructure, utilities or telco sectors
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects or programs
- Proven ability to lead teams and influence stakeholders at executive level
- Demonstrated experience in portfolio level governance, risk and reporting
- Strong written and verbal communication, including presentations to senior clients
- Ability to manage complex, sensitive and commercially challenging conversations
- High-level organisational, time management and analytical skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project and MS Office Suite
Highly regarded
- Tertiary qualifications in construction/project management/property
- PRINCE2 and/or MSP certification
- Experience in capital works, contract mobilisation or compliance programs
