HCF is seeking a Senior Hospital Relationship Manager to lead high‑value provider partnerships and shape commercial strategies across our national hospital and medical network.
This role is ideal for a commercially astute leader with deep experience in hospital contracting, health system operations and complex negotiations.
You will drive commercial outcomes, build strategic relationships and influence the future of value‑based care across Australia’s healthcare ecosystem.
In this role, you will:
- Lead commercial negotiations with hospital groups, medical specialists, diagnostic providers and substitution treatment services
- Develop and execute provider strategies that improve affordability, quality and member outcomes
- Strengthen and manage strategic relationships with key hospital and medical providers
- Identify provider challenges and create tailored negotiation and engagement approaches
- Provide market and industry insights to inform HCF’s product, pricing and purchasing decisions
- Oversee contract performance, benefit outlays, service scope and compliance obligations
- Maintain strong internal alignment with senior executives and cross‑functional partners
- Represent HCF nationally through face‑to‑face provider engagement and regular travel
What You Bring:
- Senior experience in hospital contracting, provider relations or healthcare commercial management
- Proven ability to negotiate complex, high‑value commercial agreements
- Strong capability in interpreting contract terms, analysing provider performance and managing risk
- Experience partnering with senior executives to influence commercial and strategic decisions
- Excellent relationship‑building skills and the ability to navigate sensitive or complex provider dynamics
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present insights and recommendations
- Tertiary qualifications in business, law, health management or equivalent senior‑level experience
- Knowledge of the private hospital or health insurance industries (advantageous)
