About the role
The Investment Evaluation team is looking for a motivated individual to join the team as an Analyst. Reporting to the Manager Investment Evaluation, you will be part of a well-respected team.
The role is to undertake and support the evaluation of capital and operating investment proposals to inform efficient and optimised expenditure decisions. This includes reviewing business cases and completing financial / economic modelling and evaluation, including providing support for ad hoc strategic initiatives across Water Corporation.

What you can expect with this role
- Support and provide input on the financial and commercial aspects of internal business cases, including options and NPV analysis. This will involve collaborative and broad engagement with various stakeholders across the business on a wide range of projects.
- Assess and challenge the reasonableness of assumptions used in any financial analysis.
- Prepare Investment Evaluation reports that concisely summarise the conclusions of the financial analysis and highlight any material assumptions / risks.
- Provide appropriate financial evaluation and commercial consultancy advice to internal clients.
- Facilitate and interpret financial capacity assessments for entities Water Corporation enters into contracts with.
- Provide support and input into developing and updating relevant policies, procedures, and methodologies as needed.
Your skills and experience
For this role, we are looking for great talent with:
- A degree in commerce, economics or a relevant financial or business discipline.
- Experience in financial modelling, project evaluation and/or business case assessments.
- Competency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Effective oral and written communication skills, especially in succinctly conveying complex technical concepts and issues.
- A collaborative and team player mindset.
