Ventia has been awarded the Australian Defence Force’s new Defence Clothing Services contract — a major, long‑term partnership valued at approximately $935 million, commencing in May 2026.
As part of the new contract, we require multiple Clothing Supply Chain Analysts to support the Defence Clothing System by transforming complex data into actionable insights that enhance operational efficiency, service delivery, and strategic decision-making.
This position is responsible for collecting, cleansing, analysing, and interpreting data from various sources to identify trends, forecast outcomes, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
The position will be based out of Laverton, VIC and paying a salary package inclusive on $85,000.
Other Role Responsibilities:
- Data Collection and Cleansing: Gathering data from various internal and external sources.
- Ensuring its accuracy and completeness, preprocessing and formatting as required
- Using learnt statistical techniques and software tools to analyse data, identify patterns, trends and insights.
- Reporting and Visualisation: Creating reports and visualisations (e.g., charts, graphs, dashboards) to present findings in an understandable and actionable manner.
- Data Interpretation: Interpreting data results to provide meaningful insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Database Management: Maintaining and updating databases to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
- Predictive Analysis: Using data modelling and machine learning techniques to predict future trends and outcomes.
- Documentation: Documenting methodologies, processes, and findings to ensure transparency and reproducibility.
About you:
To be successful in your application, you will have a qualification in Data Analytics or similar with experience working in a logistics environment.
It is desirable that will also have:
- Experience in the Defence sector (ideal)
- PowerBI experience
- Proficient Excel knowledge
- Databricks basic knowledge
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
All team members engaged on a Ventia Defence Contract must be eligible to hold and maintain Defence Security Clearance and as such must be an Australian Citizen.
