The Opportunity
Due to an internal promotion, we require a Sustainability professional to join our Sydney Roads and Asset Performance Contract (SRAPC) based in Arndell Park. In this role, you will lead and champion sustainable practices in partnership with SRPAC to achieve and maintain ISCA ratings, embedding sustainability across asset management, planning, delivery, and maintenance activities.
You will provide expert guidance across design, development, and delivery teams, drive the sustainability strategy and performance targets, and manage the annual ISC audit program, including waste, stakeholder, and environmental management plan audits. The role also leads sustainability performance reporting, delivering monthly and quarterly updates to the client, TfNSW, and the Contract Management Team (CMT).

Key Accountabilities
- Embed sustainability across the SRAPC contract by partnering with project, maintenance, commercial, design, and delivery teams, as well as subcontractors.
- Ensure environmental controls are planned and implemented in line with relevant specifications and environmental requirements.
- Conduct inspections and incident investigations, implement corrective actions, and contribute to risk workshops and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Integrate and monitor ISC-aligned measures, manage the audit roadmap, and track key sustainability metrics (energy, materials, waste) to achieve performance targets.
- Identify and evaluate sustainability improvement opportunities, promote innovation, and monitor emerging trends and technologies.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual sustainability performance reports to the client, TfNSW, and the Client Management Team (CMT).
- Support the development of sustainability frameworks and policies while upholding company values and fostering a safe, inclusive, and compliant workplace.
About You
- Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a similar sustainability role within infrastructure or construction.
- ISAP accredited, White Card holder, and valid Class C Driver’s Licence.
- Experience in Greenhouse Gas (GHG) accounting in line with the GHG Protocol and strong data analytics capability (e.g. Power BI).
- Ability to identify sustainability and efficiency improvements from an engineering and design perspective.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with client-facing experience.
- Adaptable, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
