Are you an experienced Site Engineer ready to take the next step in your career? We are seeking a motivated Junior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Sydney Roads and Asset Performance portfolio.
In this role, you will apply relevant standards to assess, monitor, and review compliance across road network projects within the Western Parklands region, as well as across Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) projects throughout Regional NSW.

Key Accountabilities
In this role, you will support quality assurance activities and help develop and implement systems aligned with the SRAPC Quality Management System (QMS). Responsibilities include:
- Assisting the Quality Assurance Manager with daily quality activities.
- Supporting implementation of quality objectives in line with SHEQ strategy.
- Reviewing client specifications to ensure all QA/QC requirements are identified and met.
- Delivering programs to achieve contract quality requirements.
- Managing corrective actions and non-conformances.
- Preparing reports on quality performance, including defects and documentation.
- Conducting site inspections to ensure compliance with standards.
- Maintaining accurate records and tracking progress of actions.
- Assisting with internal and subcontractor audits.
- Collaborating with Project Managers and supervisors.
- Supporting coaching and mentoring on QMS practices.
- Promoting a strong quality culture and safe, high-performing work environment.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- A tertiary qualification in Engineering (Civil or a related discipline).
- Proven experience within the construction industry or a comparable sector (such as mining, foundry, or large-scale manufacturing).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, including experience in root cause analysis, process capability assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
- The ability to effectively influence and engage stakeholders to support compliance and ensure safe, successful project delivery.
- A proactive, accountable, and quality-focused approach, with a strong commitment to excellence.
- Adaptability and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Hold a current White Card and valid driver’s licence.
