The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Sydney Roads and Asset Performance Contract as a Quality Assurance Engineer, following an internal promotion. In this role, you will apply your knowledge of relevant standards to assess, monitor, and review compliance in the delivery of works across the Western Parklands road network and ITS assets for Regional NSW.

Key Accountabilities
- Support implementation of Quality objectives aligned with the Sector SHEQ strategy.
- Review client specifications to ensure all QA/QC contractual requirements are captured and implemented.
- Deliver quality programs to ensure contract compliance.
- Support the Quality and Assurance Manager and maintain Corrective Action and Non-Conformance registers.
- Report on QA/QC performance, including non-conformances, defects, and deficiencies.
- Conduct site inspections across the Western Parklands road network and ITS assets for Regional NSW.
- Ensure quality records are accurately collected, verified, stored, and tracked.
- Assist with scheduling and conducting internal and subcontractor audits.
- Work with Project Managers and supervisors to ensure works meet required standards.
- Promote strong quality culture, support QMS application, and drive compliance with client expectations.
- Perform other reasonable duties to support contract and organisational objectives.
About You
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Valid Class C Driver’s Licence.
- Solid experience in a similar role within roads, transport, infrastructure, or construction environments.
- Familiar with TfNSW specs and experienced in contracting.
- Strong communication, literacy, and numeracy skills, with the ability to implement and communicate quality objectives at the contract level.
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proactive and committed to continuous improvement and responsive client service.
- Ability to effectively engage with and mentor operational staff.
