About the Role
We will be constructing a 275/33kv substation & 2km of 275kV transmission line from Brigalow Gas Power Station, and connect to the transmission network in Chinchilla, QLD.
The Project Manager is accountable to successfully manage the project scope, through effective project management, estimating and leadership.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Leading a multidisciplinary team including estimators, design managers, procurement officers, and schedulers
- Complying with all client requirements and relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Reviewing, maintaining, and ensuring adherence to all quality assurance systems, standards, and procedures throughout the project
- Delivering work to the satisfaction of both the project sponsor and client, within agreed timeframes and budgets
- Managing project resources to ensure availability and alignment with project requirements
- Monitoring team performance and providing training, mentoring, and career development support where needed
- Improving tendered gross contribution by enhancing labour productivity, material procurement, and overall job control functions
- Building, maintaining, and enhancing relationships with all stakeholders, including client representatives and contractors
About You
- Tertiary Qualifications in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Project Management
- Proven Project Management experience in Energy Projects from bid to delivery
- Extensive Construction and workforce management and supervision
- Ability to provide direction in the allocated discipline with experience in major infrastructure projects and/or energy sectors
- Collaborative leader able to work in diverse teams focusing on developing best practice
- Well-developed computer skills with expertise in industry engineering applications
- Ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of Client policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Current Driver’s Licence
