About the role
We have a permanent opportunity for a Senior Engineer within our engineering design dams & conveyance team to undertake engineering design of wastewater conveyance infrastructure assets across WA. This role will be based in our Leederville office reporting to the Team Leader – Wastewater Conveyance Design.

What the role will involve
- Undertake the role of design manager for assigned projects and review outputs and performance
- Plan and manage the development and delivery of complex designs and reports for the solution and engineering problems using in-house or external resources
- Prepare briefs for engagement of consultants; evaluate consultant proposals and makes recommendations
- Ensure that the definition and design, and ongoing monitoring of definition, design and tender document performance of consulting engineers are within agreed time and budget
- Manage the preparation of tender documents and undertake tender analysis
- Deliver engineering designs or advice for the solution of engineering problems using in-house or external resources
- Provide advice to and liaise with internal customers, external suppliers, service agencies, consultants, industry regulators and agencies in relation to infrastructure design
About you
You’ll have a degree level qualification in a relevant engineering discipline, along with extensive professional engineering experience in wastewater infrastructure planning and design of infrastructure assets. Experience in project management, preparation, review of complex technical reports and tender specifications for water industry infrastructure, and ability to collaborate, negotiate and influence senior internal, external stakeholders, and government agencies will ensure success in this role.
