About the Role
We have a unique opportunity for a global leader in Materials Management to shape, govern and drive the execution of a world‑class Materials Management program across our organisation.
Reporting to the Global Director of Contractor and Materials Management, this role will lead and direct a small team of global and regional direct and indirect reports, and is accountable for the global strategy, Target State, and standards for Materials Management. As the global functional expert you will play a pivotal role in defining how Materials Management delivers value across our mining, refining, and smelting operations worldwide, enabling sustained, long‑term business value and driving measurable improvements in safety, productivity, cost efficiency, risk management, sustainability, and governance.
In this role, you will:
Lead the end‑to‑end implementation of the global Materials Management Target State, including key policies, standards, processes, systems, technologies and workflows.
Program manage the delivery of improvement initiatives, systems and solutions, ensuring alignment with the Target State, defined standards and business priorities.
Provide global functional leadership and alignment, embedding effective governance, performance reporting and standardisation across all locations in line with Global Asset Management and Materials Management Standards.
Manage the global governance, review, and audit framework, ensuring compliance with standards, alignment to the Target State, and continuous improvement through structured operational reviews.
Drive collaboration, capability and continuous improvement by partnering with key global and regional teams (including Asset Management, Capital Projects, Procurement and ITAS), and build Materials Management capability through coaching and training, and embedding initiatives into annual and long‑term plans.

What you can bring to the role
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Supply Chain & Logistics, Project Management, Business or Commerce (post‑graduate qualifications desirable).
Extensive leadership experience in operational, business or functional management roles within industrial, mining, resources, manufacturing or similar asset‑intensive environments.
Strong ability to communicate and influence effectively at all levels of the organisation across multiple time zones, languages and cultures, both virtually and in person.
Proven experience leading complex, large‑scale programs, projects, frameworks, standards and systems across multiple locations, cultures and cross‑functional teams.
Deep technical expertise in one or more of the following disciplines: Engineering; Maintenance & Reliability; Maintenance Planning; Supply Chain, Warehousing or Logistics, supported by a strong understanding of advanced Materials Management principles.
Strong delivery and influence capability, including advanced program and project management skills, experience leading change without direct authority, and excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, organisational and time management skills to deliver multiple initiatives to tight timelines.
