About the role
We have a permanent opportunity within our electrical design team in Leederville for a Senior Engineer. You’ll undertake quality design services for water and wastewater infrastructure projects across WA, also providing technical support and advice in process planning, definition, design, operations and standards.

What the role will involve
- Develop and deliver strategic reports and designs for the improvement of electrical asset performance using in-house or external resources.
- Provide advice to and liaise with internal customers, external suppliers, service agencies, consultants, industry regulators and agencies in relation to electrical asset design.
- Prepare briefs for the engagement of consultants; evaluate consultants’ proposals and report conclusions and recommendations.
- Manage consultants through the planning, definition and design of projects and review outputs and performance for conformity to design criteria, client requirements and agreed time and cost.
- Prepare engineering and detail design reports and specifications.
- Develop and deliver strategic reports and designs for the improvement of electrical asset performance using in-house or external resources.
- Examine tenders and make recommendations
About you
- Degree level qualification in electrical engineering or equivalent
- Substantial water related professional engineering experience in infrastructure planning, definition and/or detailed design of infrastructure assets
- Experience in and relevant knowledge of design and project management, and in the preparation and review of technical reports and tender specifications for water industry infrastructure
- Sound knowledge of statutory requirements, regulation and national standards associated with design, approval and development of water related infrastructure assets
- Relevant experience and sound knowledge in power electrical engineering
