Ventia are currently seeking an Civil/ Structural Engineer to assist in developing and implementing design review processes, checklists and quality standards to enhance overall design quality on the new Torrens to Darlington Project. This role will see you in a permanent fulltime role based in Flinders Street, Adelaide.
The responsibilities of the position include but not limited to:
- Review and provide feedback on design drawings, and advise on maintainability, reliability, availability, supportability, durability and operability of Electrical assets
- Conduct design verification activities, ensure designs meet performance and safety requirements
- Review and provide feedback on design drawings, and offer engineering advice on changes
- Provide engineering advice on major repair and replacement of assets
- Review Design documents and offer engineering advice, ensuring lowest whole of life cost for the asset
- Assist with feedback on RFIs received
- Prepare and present review reports and documentation to management and stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Civil Engineering or equivalent (Required)
- Chartered Engineer (Desirable)
- Asset Management fundamentals (Desirable)
- Minimum 3 years experience required in the delivery of similar project
Skills and experience:
- Experience and understanding of engineering design principals, and tools
- Project Engineer on Roads or/and Tunnels construction or maintenance
- Experience and detailed knowledge of Civil and structural asset
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience and understanding of civil asset maintenance fundamentals.
