Ventia is seeking an experienced Driller to join Rig 101, a Super Single drilling rig delivering varied and technically interesting work across Australia.
This role offers genuine variety, Rig 101 is currently operating in South Australia, with long term work. If you’re a Driller who enjoys different geology, changing environments, and being part of a well-run, capable crew, this is one worth looking at.
About Rig 101
Rig 101 is a highly mobile, Super Single rig designed for efficiency, safety, and flexibility. Its smaller footprint allows access to a wide range of locations while still delivering strong drilling performance. The rig regularly undertakes:
- Exploration and appraisal drilling
- Directional and vertical wells
- Deeper technical programs (up to 3,500m)
- Remote and varied operating environments
- This isn’t rinse-and-repeat production drilling, there’s a solid mix of work that keeps things interesting.
The Role
As Driller, you’ll take ownership of day-to-day drilling operations, mentor the crew, and work closely with the Night Rig Manager and company reps to deliver safe and efficient outcomes across changing campaigns.

- 2.2 even-time roster
- Point of hire Toowoomba
- Current operations in SA
- Paid travel days at full day rate

What You’ll Need
- Proven experience as a Driller on land-based rigs
- Australian onshore drilling experience
- Certificate III or IV in Onshore Oil & Gas Drilling
- Valid Level 3 or 4 BOP Ticket
- Open manual driver’s licence
- Strong safety focus and leadership capability
