Ventia is seeking a Senior Project Accountant to support a key project within our growing Telecommunications portfolio, playing a critical role in driving project performance, financial integrity, and delivering meaningful insight. This role can be based anywhere in Australia, with a preference for Sydney.

About the role:
You’ll deliver strong commercial insight and analytical capability while partnering with operations to translate high volume project data into meaningful performance outcomes and continuous improvement. You will also take ownership of end-to-end financial management across your assigned project.
Additionally, you’ll:
- Deliver accurate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and project accounting outputs that ensure financial integrity across complex contracts.
- Analyse and interpret project performance drivers, including margins, overheads and cost structures, to provide clear commercial insights.
- Partner closely with operational stakeholders to influence decision-making and improve project performance outcomes.
- Own end-to-end project financials including forecasting, cost control, and financial planning.
- Oversee project billing, WIP and cash collection to ensure accurate revenue recognition and strong cash flow outcomes.
- Build strong cross functional relationships and support project teams with financial insight and guidance.
About you:
You will bring a strong blend of technical accounting capability, commercial acumen, and stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to work confidently in a high-volume contracting environment. Additionally, you'll:
- Bachelor degree in Business, Commerce or related field.
- CPA or CA qualification or working towards.
- Advanced Excel & Power BI tools to create dashboards and reports
- Proven ability to partner with operational stakeholders and influence business decisions
