About the Role:
Find your further with Ventia’s Commercial legal and Risk Team as a Senior Commercial Manager supporting the operational and financial success of our Telecommunications Business Unit by managing and optimising commercial activities and performance.
This is a senior role responsible for effective contract management and administration (including downstream subcontractor arrangements), commercial governance, and leading negotiations for significant variations, claims, and renewals as required.
The role works closely with project delivery teams and corporate functions to protect margin, minimise revenue leakage, ensure contractual compliance, and drive continuous improvement in commercial policies, processes and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the commercial management and administration of contracts, including subcontractor arrangements.
- Provide strategic commercial and contractual advice to project teams and stakeholders.
- Lead commercial negotiations, claim strategies, and dispute resolution initiatives.
- Ensure contract governance, reporting, and compliance across clients and projects.
- Drive revenue assurance, cost optimisation, and continuous business improvement initiatives.
- Foster a collaborative, customer-centric culture and build strong internal and external relationships.
- Champion enterprise values and strategic priorities including safety, sustainability, innovation, and diversity.
About You:
- Well developed experience in commercial and contract management with a proven track record delivering commercial outcomes.
- Strong experience managing complex, high-volume service contracts within infrastructure, telecommunications, or similar industries welcome.
- Advanced commercial negotiation, contract management, and claims resolution capability.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to drive strategic decisions and financial performance.
- Sound understanding of contract governance, project commercial administration, and reporting frameworks.
- Customer-focused approach with the ability to balance client outcomes and commercial objectives.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence across diverse teams and environments.
- Tertiary qualification in business, commerce, law, engineering, or a related discipline (desirable).
