We’re currently recruiting a Telco Electrician to join Ventia, leading the delivery of electrical construction projects including new build installations, upgrades to existing infrastructure, and ongoing maintenance activities. You will also respond to faults and support a wide range of electrical equipment across telecommunications infrastructure throughout Australia.

What you’ll be doing:
- Lead onsite construction projects within telecommunications environments, including supervision and coordination of site works
- Install and manage LV, ELV, AC, DC electrical site works, along with cable trays and electrical apparatus
- Deliver DC power plant installations, battery lifecycle replacements, and critical superstructure/frame suite builds
- Perform testing and commissioning in accordance with Australian standards to ensure operational compliance
- Maintain safety and compliance through daily documentation, risk assessments, and adherence to critical risk protocols
- Support project delivery through reporting, client relationship management, team collaboration, mentoring apprentices, and frequent metro/regional travel
Are you our next Electrician? You'll have:
- NSW Electrical Licence, Open Cabler Licence, and current Drivers Licence
- Experience in telecommunications environments (e.g. Telstra, Optus, TPG) and leading teams/projects
- Competent in testing and commissioning electrical and communications installations
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills, with the ability to motivate teams and deliver results
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of working autonomously as a proactive, self-driven professional
- Physically capable (lifting up to 25kg)
- Willing to travel regularly to regional areas (Monday–Friday)
The following qualifications and experience are not essential but will be highly regarded in the selection process:
- Emergency First Aid / CPR
- Low voltage Release and Rescue
- Working at heights certification
- Elevated work platform licence
- Forklift licence
