About the Role
As a key connection between Alcoa and its stakeholders, in this position you will combine your ability to interpret and communicate detailed information while leading engagement strategies that support major projects and long-term planning.
Working alongside a dedicated team of professionals, you will play an integral role in creating tools and communication plans that enable open, transparent, two-way engagement. Your attention to detail and analytical ability will be essential in interpreting complex technical information and translating it into clear, accessible messages for diverse audiences.
Key focus areas and contributions will be:
Developing and implementing strategies that support government approvals and project delivery ensuring alignment with existing engagement processes and strategic objectives.
Coordinating the collection and integration of stakeholder and community feedback to inform approvals processes and project development.
Providing strategic input on long- and medium-term planning, environmental studies, and technical assessments to ensure external perspectives are considered
Creating and deploying communication tools such as factsheets, presentations, and web content and developing media strategies related to project approvals.
Participating in environmental approvals and project teams and t as a leader within the Corporate Affairs team.

What you can bring to the role
Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
Experience leading stakeholder engagement and communications in complex external environments - ideally within infrastructure or resources sectors and on major projects.
A track record in the environmental approvals landscape would be considered highly desirable.
Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to provide strategic advice and deliver sophisticated engagement solutions.
Highly developed analytical and detail-oriented communications skills with the ability to interpret and convey complex messaging in an engaging way to a wide variety of stakeholders.
Excellent interpersonal and listening skills, sound judgment, and the ability to influence outcomes while fostering trust and collaboration.
Highly motivated and self-directed, with a solid understanding of economic, industry, and environmental policy contexts relevant to Alcoa’s operations.
