SHEQ Advisor – Ventia Property Services (WA)

Salary: Up to $130,000 (inclusive of super)
Ventia Property Services is seeking a confident and proactive SHEQ Advisor to support our Perth based operations, including regular travel to Bunbury, Kalgoorlie and Pinjarra, across a wide portfolio of cleaning and facilities services contracts throughout WA.

Following an internal audit, there is a clear opportunity for someone capable and motivated to uplift standards, strengthen relationships, and embed consistent SHEQ practices.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the SHEQ Business Manager (based in Sydney), you will work closely with a highly supportive Contract Director and four Contract Managers, each overseeing a sector of the business. You will be the key driver of SHEQ engagement across the team and will operate with a high degree of independence.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Implementing Safety Management Plans and ensuring compliance with legislation and standards.
- Leading safety incident investigations and recommending practical, workable solutions.
- Embedding Ventia’s Critical Risk Protocols and strengthening safety culture on all contracts.
- Maintaining risk registers, documentation and VenSafe data to support informed decision making.
- Coordinating and delivering inductions, toolbox talks and safety related training.
- Supporting employee rehabilitation and return to work processes.
- Building effective relationships with Contract Managers, Supervisors and site teams.
- Establishing routines, meetings and communication channels across a busy operational environment.

Skills & Qualifications
- Tertiary WHS/OHS, Environmental or Quality qualification
- Experience in safety within facilities, industrial services or similar environments
- Strong understanding of legislation, risk frameworks and ISO standards
- Competence in incident investigations and corrective actions
- Ability to coach, train and influence teams
