What You’ll Do
- You’ll play an important role supporting, maintaining and improving Defence ICT networks across multiple WA sites, including:
- Providing network administration and technical support
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues within ICT systems and networks
- Maintaining hardware and software, including upgrading outdated systems
- Monitoring network performance and identifying improvements
- Contributing to site inspections and reporting
- Supporting compliance with Defence standards, specifications and governance
- Working collaboratively with stakeholders and contributing to continuous improvement
- You’ll work both independently and alongside a highly supportive Telecommunications/ICT team committed to strong service delivery.
What You’ll Bring
We’re open to different experience levels — from developing engineers looking for growth to experienced ICT professionals.
Ideal skills include:
- Experience working in ICT infrastructure, systems administration or network engineering
- Familiarity with Windows Server, virtual machines, network security, backup & redundancy principles
- Experience configuring and supporting switching (Dell, Cisco, etc.) is advantageous
- Strong troubleshooting capability and a continuous improvement mindset
- Confident communication skills and the ability to work across multiple sites
To be considered for this role, you will need to be eligible to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance. You must also be an Australian citizen to meet this requirement.
