Finance Portfolio Manager - Perth-Based

We’re looking for a Finance Portfolio Manager to guide a team of accountants and administrators supporting project and operational finance in our Infrastructure Services Sector. If you enjoy leading people, improving processes, partnering with the business, and ensuring financial accuracy, this is a role where you’ll make a real impact.

What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll blend leadership, operational support, and financial expertise to ensure your team — and the projects you support — run smoothly.
You will:
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of accountants/administrators
- Oversee work allocation and ensure timely, high quality accounting output
- Support issue resolution between finance and the business
- Drive process consistency, standardisation, and adherence to accounting policies
- Manage month end and year end activities, reconciliations, and compliance
- Support forecasting, budgeting, WIP reviews, and financial insights
- Partner with operational staff to understand project performance and improve outcomes
- Monitor cashflow, working capital, and billing progress
- Champion continuous improvement and embed best practice
You’ll also contribute to refining and standardising processes as part of our Centre of Excellence, helping drive efficiency and consistency across the business.
This is a hands on leadership role with real influence across financial performance, team culture, and operational delivery.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience leading a finance team, ideally during periods of change or uplift
- Strong technical accounting skills
- Confidence working in complex, multi-contract environments
- Ability to translate numbers into meaningful insights
- A collaborative style — someone who builds trust, speaks up and supports others
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (Commerce, Accounting, etc.)
- Relevant accounting qualifications - CPA/CA
- Experience with SAP or similar financial systems
- Industrial experience is desirable
