Ventia is seeking two Senior Project Accountants to support our growing national Telecommunications portfolio. These roles play a critical part in ensuring project performance, financial integrity, and meaningful insights for operational leaders.
You’ll join a supportive and collaborative finance team that values accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. One role will be based in either Sydney or Melbourne and the second role will be based in Perth.

About the role:
You’ll deliver strong commercial insight and analytical capability while partnering with operations to translate high volume project data into meaningful performance outcomes and continuous improvement. Additionally, you’ll:
- Deliver accurate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and project accounting outputs that ensure financial integrity across complex contracts.
- Analyse and interpret project performance drivers, including margins, overheads and cost structures, to provide clear commercial insights.
- Support value creation through identifying opportunities to improve financial outcomes while maintaining alignment with client and organisational expectations.
- Build strong cross functional relationships and develop project team capability by mentoring both finance and non finance staff.
About you:
You will bring a strong blend of technical accounting capability, commercial acumen, and stakeholder communication skills, with the ability to work confidently in a high-volume contracting environment.
- Bachelor degree in Business, Commerce or related field
- CPA or CA qualification preferred
- Advanced Excel & Power BI tools to create dashboards and reports
- Sound working knowledge of SAP ERP desired
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to understand how projects create value and contribute to business performance
