Join one of Australia and New Zealand’s largest essential infrastructure service providers as a Finance Analyst working within our Enterprise Service and Group Supply Chain team.
This position is responsible to perform, manage and complete financial analysis and cost controlling for Group Supply Chain cost centres and associated corporate overhead.
The role is accountable for providing financial insights and support to optimise procurement and supply chain operations, ensuring cost efficiency and strategic value, including cost recovery and rebate tracking and monitoring.
This is a permanent full-time opportunity and can be based from our North Sydney or Cremorne offices in Victoria.
Other Role Responsibilities:
- Analysis & insights into performance, including benchmarking, comparisons etc to drive continual improvement, identifying areas for further cost savings and efficiency improvements, in particular for procurement enablement.
- R&O analysis – assist in the preparation and help execute the performance of improvement plans to drive ‘better than budget’ outcomes ‘In the detail’ rolling reviews to identify ‘hidden’ problems early.
- Develop and maintain complex financial models to support procurement and supply chain decision-making for category management and business work winning.
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual procurement performance analysis (benefits) and communicate results to senior management for the cost out programme
- Prepare and present financial reports, forecasts, and recommendations to senior management.
- Involvement in ‘make v buy’ decisions, business cases, etc as they arise whilst ensuring Ventia maintains capital light model.
- Ensure compliance with financial controls and systems and develop new processes to support Enterprise growth.
About you:
To be successful in your application, you will have relevant qualifications, ideally accompanied with CA, CPA and industry experience.
You will also possess:
- Experience in SAP (ECC6), Microsoft Office Power BI (advantageous)
- Previous experience of a similar role within a large / ASX listed organisation
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to plan, prioritise, coordinate, and operate under pressures demonstrating the ability to work on multiple matters concurrently, and meet deadlines
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrated willingness in innovation, quality systems and continuous improvement
